The Military Homeschoolers Association aims to elevate the voices of under-resourced homeschooling military families, addressing unique challenges posed by mobile lifestyles and military service demands.
The organization focuses on four key initiatives:
- Connect and Support Military Homeschoolers:
- Foster connections among these families seeking a sense of community and belonging.
- Enhance Awareness for School Liaison Officers:
- Equip school liaison officers (SLOs) with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support military homeschooling families.
- Mentor Homeschool Support Group Leaders:
- Equip parent leaders as mentors, group leaders, and co-op organizers to foster permissionless education and to create a sustainable ecosystem of valuable support and resources for the community.
- Base2Base Military Homeschooling Podcast:
- A podcast to help families navigate military homeschooling by exploring and sharing the resources that are available at various duty stations.
- Interface with DoD and other military support organizations to standardize support across all branches.
